Nigeria my country, my fatherland. Have you ever wondered why you were born in Nigeria and no other country? Well it is because we are here to make a change or create a change. It is not enough for us to sit down and criticize our leaders, but we should also criticize ourselves. Let us take a close look at the economic crisis in Nigeria, it may not affect some, while it does affect others. Every one of us wants a white collar job, good homes and all. But how many of us are willing to make sacrifices like our forefathers did? Every man for his own.


Nigeria as a country is not exactly 50 years old, but rather its independence from the colonial rule. So far well meaning Nigerians have been able to make changes, and so I praise Nigeria for the good works of this individuals. I am very optimistic of my country and I believe from where we are today, we are heading somewhere and not just any where, but somewhere good.

In my time as a student, I prayed to God, that there shall be no strike in my time, and there was not! So then our destiny, decisions and changes is in our hands and not our rulers. I believe Nigeria has done well these years, despite the greedy nature of some of our leaders, we are still able to stand as a nation and assist each other.

One thing I know is that for all who try to bring down this beloved nation, will only be doing that at the expense of their children’s children. We must realize that the people of Nigeria are great people and great nation and deserve an applaud.

In my opinion Nigeria has done well, in as much as you have to pay some certain amount to get a job, God fatherism, etc has eaten the fabric of our nations, I still believe we are heading somewhere and we will get there. Trust me I know what am talking about.
